Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 6 oz. Applewood smoked bacon, thick slice
  • 2 garlic cloves, each sliced in half
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 baguette, crusts removed
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 4 oz. Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz. Fontina cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz. dry elbow pasta, cooked according to package instructions
