Ingredients

  • For Hershey's Chocolate Frosting
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup mild vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup Hershey?s Cocoa
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • Butter, for the pans
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pans
  • For Hershey's Chocolate Cake
  • 2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/3 cups Hershey?s Cocoa
  • 3 1/3 cups confectioners? sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant espresso
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
