  • Butter for greasing the baking dish(es)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • Sauce:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ c heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 - 4 tablespoons whiskey
