  • 1 cup sugar

  • For the Caramel Sauce:
  • 2 cups Granny Smith, or Honey Crisp apples, peeled and chopped to ¼ to ½ inch chunks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Mexican vanilla
  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • Pinch of salt
