  • cooked rice, for serving
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon grapeseed or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup + 1 Tablespoons soy sauce or gluten-free Tamari, divided
  • 1-1/2lb flank or sirloin steak cut very thin (shaved if you can!)
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (for best results use pre-made or from concentrate, not fresh)
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch, divided
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
